All of your exercise data is stored in a local database on your Mac. It is only sent to external services, such as Strava, when you expressly instruct the app to do so by using the share feature found in the app.
Data shared with external services will be governed according to the privacy policy for the services and the agreement that you have in place with the particular service.
Login and passwords credentials are required for some services, which do not offer APIs with better alternatives. All credentials are stored securely and used as securely as possible (https).
